What's new?

0.1.0-rc.8
November 6, 2026
Firefox ESR 153.6.0
LATEST
NEWA choice you make for a site can cover one address, like nas.example.com, or all of example.com. The site menu, the Privacy and Security button, and the extensions menu start with the address you're on. To cover the whole site, pick "All of example.com" at the top.NEWYou approve an AI app like Claude Code once, and every session of it can use Sval from any folder. Each session gets its own Workspace, listed under its app in the Workspace menu.NEWTo open an empty Peek for something you won't keep, like a video call, press ⌥⌘N (Ctrl+Alt+N) or choose File › New Peek Window.NEWIf you lose every device, you can restore your Workspaces with your backup key. Set up Sval on a new device, choose your sync folder, and select "Restore with your backup key".NEWWhen a page is in another language, a Translate button shows next to the site controls. Click it to translate the page on your device.FIXEDThings you removed from a page came back when you turned off the site's protections or ad blocking. They now stay removed.FIXEDWith video and audio set to Ask first, one click anywhere on a page let it play video and audio. Nothing plays until you click the media button.FIXEDOn Linux, protected video, on streaming sites for example, never played. It plays.FIXEDEach new window opened on a Workspace added a "New Tab" row to it. A new window opens on the tab you last looked at in its Workspace.FIXEDPressing Enter on a command in the Launcher did nothing.

Firefox ESR 153.6.0
NEWMusic and video keep playing when you switch Workspaces. To pause, skip, or seek, use the controls at the bottom of the panel or the media button next to a tab, group, or Workspace. Hover over the button to see what's playing.NEWTo move a tab to another window, drag the tab onto that window's panel.NEWWhen you open Sval, you're back on the Pin you had open when you quit.NEWOn a Mac, Sval opens without a security warning. Apple has notarized the app.FIXEDSome sites, eBay among them, took Sval for a bot and showed an error page. Sval now connects the way current Firefox does, so those sites load.FIXEDAds stay blocked after you turn ad blocking off and back on.FIXEDDiagonal swipes on a Mac trackpad scroll the page diagonally.FIXEDSome sites on a Mac no longer stop loading partway through.FIXEDWith a screen reader running, Settings and site pages took 5 to 15 seconds to open. They now open straight away.FIXEDAfter you open a Pin, a collapsed group no longer shows the tab you left.FIXEDAgents gave up waiting for your answer after 50 seconds. Agents now wait as long as you set in Settings › Agents.SECURITYSix security and stability fixes from newer Firefox releases.
