Turn an extension off on a site

Each extension has a switch for each site. When you turn an extension off on a site, it can’t read or change anything in tabs showing that site. It works as before everywhere else.

A page-styling extension breaks the layout of your Roon dashboard, and you want it to leave that one site alone.

  1. Go to a page on the site.
  2. In the toolbar, select Extensions.
  3. On the extension’s row, turn off the Run on switch.

Sval reloads the site’s tabs. The extension’s row then says it can’t see or change anything on the site.

  1. Open Settings › Extensions.
  2. Under Installed, select the extension’s name.
  3. Under Sites where this extension is off, type the site in Turn it off on a site.
  4. Select Turn off.
  • Each row in the extensions menu says what the extension can do on the site you’re on, such as read and change its pages, see its connections, or read and change its cookies.
  • Turned off on a site, an extension can’t read or change its pages, see its connections, see you open its pages, or read or change its cookies.
  • On a page whose address has a part before the site’s name, such as app.fastmail.com, the switch starts on that address alone. To switch the whole site, choose All of fastmail.com in the Run on line at the top of the menu.
  • To turn the extension back on, turn the switch back on, in the menu or next to the site in Settings.
  • In Settings › Sites, a site’s page lists the extensions that can reach the site, each with its switch.
  • Your switches sync to your other devices.
  • The extensions menu in a private window doesn’t show the switches. Settings opened in a private window shows them but can’t change them, because your switches are saved and synced.
  • Pages without a site, such as Settings, don’t show the switches in the menu either.
  • The menu shows a switch only for an extension that can reach the site.
