Choose what the address bar shows
While you’re not typing in it, the address bar shows a short form of the page’s address. You choose how much of the address it shows.
You work in a web app whose page names are in the path, and want to see which page you’re on.
- Open Settings › Appearance.
- Under Address bar, select Site name, Site and path, or Full address.
The example under the choices shows how an address looks with each one.
Details
Section titled “Details”- Site name is the default. It shows the site without “www.”.
- Site and path adds the path, and leaves out anything after a ? or #.
- Full address shows everything after the site name.
- The part after the site name is dimmed.
- When the address doesn’t fit, Sval drops whole parts from its left, so the end of the address, like a page number, stays in view.
- The Launcher’s key shows at the right end of the address bar when there’s room. It’s the first thing to go when there isn’t.
- When you open the Launcher, its field shows the page’s address, selected, so typing replaces it.
