Send feedback

Send Feedback opens a form for your message. It lists everything the report would include, and you can view or uncheck each part before you send.

Pages in your Work Workspace stopped loading after an update, and you want to tell Sval’s developers what you were doing.

  1. At the bottom of the panel, select Send Feedback.
  2. Type your message.
  3. Optional: type your email in Email (optional), if you want a reply.
  4. Under Sent with your feedback, uncheck any part you don’t want to send.
  5. Select Send.

The form says Thanks, your feedback was sent. and gives a reference. Select Close.

  • In the menu bar, Help › Send Feedback… opens the same form.
  • Send stays dimmed until your message is at least 10 characters long.
  • Select View on any part to see exactly what it sends. Back goes back to the list.
  • Sval version and your system is always sent. The other parts are checked until you uncheck them. Crash snapshots start unchecked.
  • A crash snapshot may include parts of pages you had open. Send one only if you’re comfortable with that.
  • A part that would take the report over 25 MB says Too large to send.
  • Nothing in the report identifies you unless you add your email. Sval’s server doesn’t keep your IP address.
  • Closing the form with Esc, or by clicking outside it, keeps your draft until you quit Sval. Cancel throws the draft away.
  • Some error messages have a Send Report… button, which opens the same form with a line about the error.
  • Couldn’t reach Sval’s feedback server. Check your internet connection, and any proxy or firewall, then select Send Again.
  • You’re offline. Connect to the internet, then select Send Again. Your message and choices are kept.
  • Sval’s feedback server had a problem. The problem is on Sval’s side. Try again in a few minutes.
  • Couldn’t gather the report. Select Try Again.
