Stop syncing on this device

Stopping sync takes this device off the sync folder. Your Workspaces stay on the device as they are.

You’re selling an old laptop and want it to stop reading your sync folder before you wipe it.

Steps

1. Open Settings › Sync and devices.
2. Under Sync, select Stop syncing.

The Sync card reads “Sval saves your Workspaces on this device only. To sync them, choose a folder your devices share.”

Details

• Sval doesn’t ask first, and keeps every Workspace on this device.
• Your other devices go on syncing with each other through the folder.
• This device keeps its sync key. To sync again, choose the same folder with Choose folder….
• Stopping sync doesn’t stop a device you no longer have from reading the folder. To shut a lost device out, see Set up sync again with a new key.
