Tabs and the panel
The panel runs down one side of the window and holds the tabs of the Workspace the window shows. Its parts are listed here from top to bottom, then its menus and settings. The switcher at its top is on Workspaces.
Favorites
Section titled “Favorites”Favorites opens the Favorites menu: your Favorites and their folders, from any Workspace. Pinned Favorites aren’t in it. A private window has no Favorites button.
Right-clicking a Favorite or a folder in the menu offers Undo, Open, Open in New Window, Open in Private Window, Open All for a folder, Pin or Unpin, Pin to This Workspace, Show in for a pinned one, Rename…, Edit Address…, Delete, Move to, Move Up, Move Down, New Folder…, New Separator, and Export….
The pins row
Section titled “The pins row”The pins row shows a tile for each pin in this Workspace, in an order you set by dragging. It shows only when there are pins.
- Selecting a tile shows the pin’s page. The selected tile widens to show the pin’s name, and the page’s title after it while the pin is off its saved page.
- A pin that’s off its saved page shows a dot when it isn’t selected.
- The refresh button at the end of the selected tile, named “Back to” and the pin’s name, takes the pin back to its saved page. It shows while the pin is off its saved page and you point to the tile or focus it.
- A pinned folder is one tile showing its first icons. Selecting it opens its pins.
- After the number of lines in Settings › Workspaces › Pins, the last tile reads “+” and the number of pins it holds, and opens them.
- While you drag a tab with no pins in the row, the space reads Drop to pin.

- ⌘-click (Ctrl-click on Windows and Linux) adds a row to the selection, and Shift-click selects every row in between.
- Option-click (Alt-click on Windows and Linux) on a tab splits it with the tab you’re viewing.
Dragging rows
Section titled “Dragging rows”Where you drop a row on another decides what happens. The row shows a label while a drop would do more than move.
- Near the top or bottom edge of a row puts it before or after that row.
- The middle of a tab’s row makes a new group of the two, labeled New group.
- The right end of a tab’s row makes a Split, labeled Create Split. On a Split’s row it reads Join Split, or Merge Splits when you drag a Split. A full Split reads “4 pages max”. A narrow panel has no Split spot.
- A folded group’s row puts it inside the group, last. On an open group’s row, the top half puts it before the group and the bottom half first inside it.
- A dragged group or selection goes before or after, by halves. It never makes a group or a Split.
